November SNAP Delays? Get Free Food via DoorDash Project Dash

Millions of families across the U.S. are struggling with food insecurity as the government shutdown disrupts SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) payments.

While emergency funding will cover about half of current recipients, many are still waiting for help to restart.

Government shutdown is here, find out which benefits and assistance programs remain active today!

To bridge the gap, DoorDash has launched a nationwide relief effort through its Project DASH Food Emergency Response, pledging one million free meals to households affected by the disruption.

DoorDash Steps Up With Free Food and Deliveries

As part of this initiative, DoorDash is:

  • Waiving delivery fees on around 300,000 grocery orders from partner stores like Sprouts, Wegmans, Food Lion, and Dollar General.

  • Donating meals directly through its DashMart feature to local food banks and community pantries.

These efforts aim to help families keep food on the table while government programs stabilize.

How to Access DoorDash Relief

SNAP users can qualify for DoorDash’s relief by linking their valid SNAP/EBT card to their account and using the promo code SNAPDD when placing an order.

This offer is valid until November 30, 2025, and can be used once per customer.

SNAP Benefits After the Shutdown

After court intervention, the government has been ordered to use emergency funds to restore payments to about 50% of SNAP recipients.

Those still waiting for assistance can rely on community programs and DoorDash’s free food initiative until full services resume.
