Following a major disaster declaration by President Joe Biden, FEMA and other agencies are offering financial assistance to help evacuees recover and rebuild.

Available Federal Aid
1. Serious Needs Assistance Grant ($770)
- Covers essential emergency expenses: food, water, gas, hygiene products, first aid, diapers.
- Available to displaced households or those with wildfire-related urgent needs.
- Must apply within 30 days of the disaster declaration (January 7).
2. Housing Assistance (Up to $43,600)
- Rental assistance for temporary housing.
- Hotel reimbursements (up to 14 days).
- Repairs, rebuilding, or replacement of damaged homes.
- Up to 18 months of temporary housing for those unable to return home.
Apply by March 10 to secure assistance.
3. Other Needs Assistance (Up to $43,600)
- Covers medical and funeral expenses, childcare, moving costs, vehicle repairs, and household item replacement.
- Up to $43,600 in aid is available for eligible households.
4. Low-Interest Loans from SBA
- Homeowners: Up to $200,000 for repairs or replacements.
- Renters: Up to $100,000 for personal property.
